Having recently renovated myself once again, putting in a new kitchen and bathroom/laundry, plus all floors, I was lucky to be working with the wonderful David Janson, an architect who has developed a fantastic product to assist renovators and even first home buyers with their renovation where you get the benefit of an expert designer without the huge price tag.
